My goal is to bring state-of-the-art methods outside the research environment to solve engineering problems.

I am an engineering and research consultant specialized in natural hazards. My background is in hydraulic engineering and cryosphere research. I trained in Italy, at DTU in Copenhagen, and Grenoble - UGA, passing through UNIS - Svalbard. Most of my research evolves in arctic and alpine context, shaped by fieldwork where limited data, challenging terrain, and operational constraints define the problem. I worked as avalanche and weather forecaster, developer and as natural hazard engineer.

I combine research perspective with engineering practice and software development. Software development in particular has been part of my work all along, and I use it extensively to automate data analysis, modelling, and technical workflows. I solve problems end-to-end, from the initial assessment to the finalized product.

I am based in the Dolomites and work internationally. I work with engineering firms, public authorities, and research institutions on assessment, modelling, mapping, and monitoring.
